At SERVPRO of Milpitas, we only remove what we need to. We don't like to artificially drive up the cost of a mitigation. In this residence, we observed water that found its way into the drywall from outside the home. When we took readings of the wood floor, they showed that the floor was dry. A visual inspection of the floor also didn't indicate any water damage. The proximity of the water to the floor is close enough where we can demolish it, but we decided not to in order to keep costs down.
